Police Patrol Blotter – Weekend Edition (incl. Thursday) and information about reporting anonymous tips.

Nixle Tip Messages:
We’d like to take a moment to explain our Anonymous Tip programs.  The Fremont Police Department has a strong history and partnership with our community in our efforts to fight crime and we depend heavily on your assistance.  Several years ago we began accepting anonymous tips through two platforms, Nixle and the MyPD Phone App.  The two services were created so investigators could accept and receive anonymous non-urgent information about crimes that have either already taken place or that are being planned in the future.  The tip reporting services were not set up in a manner to receive reports of in-progress activity or for situations where a police officer’s assistance is immediately needed.

The tips are generally monitored and forwarded to the appropriate investigators or units during general business hours.  In many cases, we need additional information from the tip reporter and therefore it’s asked that community members please not submit in-progress activity through our tip services.  Instead, we ask that you please call our Dispatch Center at 510-790-6800 x 3, so we can better serve you.  In most cases, a caller may ask to remain anonymous if that is of importance. Learn more about our tip service options at www.fremontpolice.org/Tip.
