Utilities to Shut Off Water March 28 to Replace Fire Hydrant 
St. James Parish Utility Water District #2 has to shut off the water main in District 6 along the River Road (La. Hwy. 18) on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 as crews replace two (2) fire hydrants. Water service will be shut off for about six (6) hours beginning at 8 AM for customers located along River Road from the Corner Drive Inn convenience store at the La. Hwy. 20 intersection and going east to St. John the Baptist Parish line. A map of the impacted area is attached.
In addition as a precaution, customers will be placed under a BOIL ADVISORY once water service is restored. The BOIL ADVISORY will remain in effect until rescinded by the water system upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals – Office of Public Health that water samples collected from our water supply system have shown our water to be safe.
