State Street bridge Traffic Detour next week 
Fox Metro Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project and State Street Traffic Detour
Fox Metro will be rehabilitating approximately 1,450 linear feet of 15 inch sanitary sewer, sanitary services and manholes. The project will occur in the rear yards of the homes on Grant Street between State Street and the ComEd right of way. The sewer rehabilitation operation is completed without excavation. Instead it will use a non-dig technique, cast-in-place pipe lining. In order to complete the repair, construction equipment will be placed in the roadway near the intersection of Grant and State that will require a detour.
Beginning Monday April 3, 2017 traffic will be restricted on State Street between Route 25 and Route 31. Local businesses will still have access. Detours include westbound traffic on Butterfield (IL Route 56) will be directed south to cross the Fox River at Sullivan Road. Similarly, traffic on Lincolnway that needs to cross the Fox River will be directed to cross at Sullivan Road. The detour is expected to remain in place until the end of the week as long as the weather cooperates. Throughout the duration of the detour access to residences and local businesses will be preserved. Access will be provided at all times for emergency response vehicles.
