Indianapolis man arrested for traveling in excess of 100 mph on Interstate 69. 
On March 27, 2017, Sergeant Bruce Vanoven with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office observed a Gray 2014 Chevy Traverse traveling at 106 mph on Interstate 69 near State Road 168. Upon initiating a traffic stop Sergeant Vanoven identified the driver as 36 year old Anthony J. Rivers of Indianapolis. Upon running Mr. Rivers information through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Sgt. Vanoven discovered that Mr. Rivers license status was suspended on an infraction. At that point Sgt. Vanoven placed Mr. Rivers into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Mr. Rivers was charged with Reckless Driving, and he has since posted a $450 bond.
Assisting Sgt. Vanoven in his investigation was Oakland City Police Chief Alec Hensley and Deputy Jeff Hill.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
