Wanted Person Information 
Wanted person: Matson, Chris Gerrald, 53 Years of Age, Height: 6’0” Weight: 209lbs. He is a transient known to frequent Palos Verdes Estates.
Summary
On Thursday, 3/23/17, at about 0845 hours, PVEPD officers responded to a suspicious person call in which the suspect was seen looking into single family residences. The suspect was located on a trail adjacent to the 2200 block of Via Cerritos. The suspect refused to obey verbal orders and fled on foot. The suspect started jumping over a chain link fence at which point a sergeant was able to grasp his body. The suspect told the sergeant , “I’m not going back to jail.” Suspect then used force to try to escape the sergeant’s grasp, in violation of 69 PC and 148(a)(1) PC. The sergeant sustained an injury as a result of this incident and the suspect was not apprehended. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt, tan shorts and white shoes. Evidence was recovered and the suspect was positively identified as Matson. If located, or information regarding his whereabouts is known, please contact the PVEPD at 310-378-4211.
