The Manchester Police Department would like to advise you of two events that will affect traffic on Elm St, Canal St, Chestnut St and in the surrounding areas Saturday, March 25th & Sunday, March 26th, 2017. These events will bring an estimated 6,000 visitors to Downtown Manchester.

Saturday, March 25th, 2017: Shamrock Half Marathon

Many of the roads will close intermittently throughout the course of the day as a safety precaution for the participants. The Manchester Police Department and Millennium Running have worked to have secured course marshals to assist local residents on the course with navigation through road closures. Estimated impact times are as follows:

+Elm St. between Pleasant St. & W. Merrimack St. (5AM - 12AM)
+Elm St. (North) between Pleasant St. & Central St. (5AM –Sun 2PM)
+Elm St. between W. Merrimack St & Bridge St (9:30AM - 2:15PM)
+Elm St. (South) between Pleasant St. & Central St. (7AM - 3:30PM)
+Elm St. between Central St & Lake Ave (7AM - 3:30PM)
+Elm St. between Bridge St & Bennington Rd (9:50AM - 2PM)
+Bennington Rd between River Rd & Elm St (10AM - 2PM)
+River Rd (North) between Bennington Rd & W. North St (10AM - 2PM)
+Canal St (North) between W. North St & Dow St (10AM - 2PM)
+Canal St (South) between Dow St & Spring St (10AM - 2PM)
+Canal St (North) between Spring St & Granite St (10AM - 2PM)

Sunday, March 26th, 2017: The Northeast Delta Dental Shamrock Shuffle will proceed the parade beginning at 11:10 AM.

This event will cause several different road closures, which are as follows:
+Elm St between Pleasant St. & W. Merrimack St. (12:00AM - 12:00PM)
+Elm St (North) between Pleasant St. & Central St. (12:00AM - 12:00PM)
+Elm St between Merrimack St. & W. Pennacook St. (11:00AM - 12:00PM)
+W. Pennacook St between Elm St. & Canal St. (11:00AM - 12:00PM)
+Canal St (North) between W. Pennacook St. & Spring St. (11:00AM - 11:40AM)
+Spring St between Canal St. & Elm St. (11:00AM - 11:30AM)
+W. Bridge St (East on Bridge) between McGregor St & Elm St. (11:00AM - 11:30AM)
+W. Bridge St (East on Bridge) between McGregor St & Elm St. (11:30AM –2PM) redirected to Canal St via Plaza Dr.
+PARADE: Elm St between Granite St & Webster St. (12PM – 2PM) + some side streets
