Yesterday evening, members of Sheriff Victor Hill's elite Fugitive Squad were at the intersection of Fielder Road and Mt Zion Pkwy in Jonesboro when they observed what appeared to be a vehicle accident. As members of the Fugitive Squad were attempting to address the accident, gun fire erupted from one of the vehicles. The Fugitive Squad attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled the scene resulting in a high speed chase. The chase ended after two of the tires on the suspect's vehicle went flat. The suspect fled on foot with the gun in his hand. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended in the back yard of a resident in Jonesboro.

After further investigation it was determined that there was no vehicle accident. The suspect who was identified as Quantavios Robinson was involved in a verbal altercation with family members of a victim from an outstanding Murder case in which Robinson was out on bond. Robinson's charges that he was out on bond for also included Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Weapon during a Crime.

Last night Robinson was charged with Aggravated Assault, Firearm Use by Convicted Felon, Felony Obstruction, Fleeing and Eluding Police, Reckless Conduct, and Reckless Driving by the Fugitive Squad.

Sheriff Victor Hill has spoken to court officials requesting that Robinson be denied any bond in the future to make sure he faces the wall indefinitely at Georgia's toughest para-military jail.
