REWARD AT $25,000 FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE  CANYON COUNTRY FATAL HIT-AND-RUN OF 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL.

The City of Santa Clarita is offering a $5,000 reward in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the fatal hit-and-run of a 15-year-old girl. This reward is IN ADDITION to the $20,000 reward previously offered by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for information regarding the hit-and-run suspect.

15-year old Desiree Lawson was crossing the street on Sierra Highway, south of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country on December 26, 2016 when she was struck by a vehicle. Investigators have still been unable to locate the hit and run driver that left the scene of the accident. The driver fled the scene, without stopping to render aid, and has not come forth to authorities.

If you have information regarding the identity of the hit-and-run driver, please contact Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Detective Mark Cramer at (661)255-1121 ext. 5111.
