Princeton woman arrested on DUI charge after attempting to bond out inmate at Gibson County Jail.
***I'm sure all of social media has seen the State Police Photo of the Dodge Neon, and heard rumors of the impaired person who attempted to bond out an inmate. Now you can know.... The rest of the story.... (and no she was not able to bond out the inmate...)
On March 19, 2017, at 2:30 a.m. Deputy Loren Barchett was dispatched to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office located at 112 East Emerson in reference to an intoxicated female attempting to bond out an inmate. Upon arriving Deputy Barchett observed a Red 2005 Dodge Neon illegally parked in front of the building. Upon speaking to the driver 58 year old Angela Delaney of Princeton Deputy Barchett believed Ms. Delaney to be impaired and began a “jail side” investigation. During his investigation Deputy Barchett ran Ms. Delaney through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Ms. Delaney had a suspended license on an infraction.
At the conclusion of his investigation Ms. Delaney was transported to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (DUI.) Ms. Delaney was also issued a ticket for driving While Suspended and remains in custody on a $650 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
