Evansville man arrested on Reckless Driving Charge. 
On March 18, 2017, at 6:03 a.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel observed a Red 2000 Toyota Camry traveling southbound on US 41 at 99 mph. Upon stopping the vehicle near the intersection of US 41 and County Road 1250 South Deputy Kiesel identified the driver as 23 year old Jaylen Chambers of Evansville, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Mr. Chambers and a passenger in the vehicle 28 year old Cortez L. Turner of Evansville were taken into custody.
Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Chambers was charged with Reckless Driving. Mr. Turner was being held on a Perjury Warrant out of Jackson County, Illinois. Mr. Chambers remains in custody on a $450 bond, but Mr. Turner is being held without bond until Jackson County, Illinois can transport him to their county.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
