7pm Winter Storm Impact Report – 7 inches of snow fell, Schools CLOSED Wednesday, Use Caution When Driving Roads Expected to Refreeze
STORM ALERT
The storm has exited our area leaving 7 inches of snow. Township plow crews were able to clear roadways and most highways are down to blacktop. Drivers need to leave extra caution for the Wednesday morning commute as black ice conditions will be present. The South Brunswick School District has cancelled all school and activities for Wednesday. South Brunswick Municipal Offices will have a delayed opening at 10:30am.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK FORECAST -
Tonight: A chance of snow, mainly before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday: A slight chance of snow before 9am, then a chance of snow showers, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Blustery, with a northwest wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
DELAYS / CLOSED / CANCELLED – Wednesday
- South Brunswick Municipal offices will have a DELAYED OPENING tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15th, at 10:30 am.
- South Brunswick Public Schools – CLOSED
- St. Cecilia Catholic Church – Cancelled all masses and activities
- South Brunswick Senior Center – Delayed Opening 10:30 am
TRAFFIC ISSUES
- Roads conditions have improved around the Township.
- State highways are down to blacktop.
- Extra caution for morning commute as black ice condition will exist.
Limited power outage reported in the area of Georges Road near Sarah Court.
