Advisory

Impending Snow ... Those living on SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES are reminded they must move their vehicles off the roadways.

Those residents living on SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES, which are designated by the appropriate signage, must remove their vehicles from the roadway. Borough Ordinance 120-14: There will be no parking allowed on these streets from the time they become snow covered until 12 hours after it STOPS snowing. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN YOUR VEHICLE BEING TICKETED AND/OR TOWED.

These SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES allow all Emergency Services the best access to our homes and must be kept clear. We thank you for your continued effort in helping us with this issue.

The National Weather Service issued a ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT
TUESDAY 03/14/17...

* LOCATIONS...The Philadelphia metropolitan area and adjacent
  southwest New Jersey, northern Delaware, and the northern
  portions of the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

* HAZARD TYPES...Heavy snow and sleet as well as strong winds.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Snow and sleet accumulations of 6 to 10 inches.

* TIMING...Steady snow begins between 9 PM and 11 PM this
  evening, becoming heavy at times around midnight before mixing
  with or changing to heavy sleet between 2 and 4 am, then ending
  as snow will diminish by late Tuesday afternoon. One-half to 1
  inch of sleet may be mixed with snow accumulations. Most of the
  snow accumulations from this nor`easter should occur prior to
  the change to sleet. There will be additional accumulations
  after the sleet changes back to snow Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and
  may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the
  snow on tree limbs and power lines. Strong winds will lead to
  blowing snow, reduced visibility, and additional power outages.

* WINDS...Northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* TEMPERATURES...In the lower 30s.
