HOBOKEN OFFERS FREE LONG-TERM OFF-STREET PARKING FOR SNOW EMERGENCY

In anticipation of the blizzard and declared snow emergency, the City of Hoboken is providing residents who have valid parking permits and who will not need access to their vehicles for a week with free parking on a first-come, first-served basis starting at immediately. Parking will be provided at the surface parking lot located at 12th Street & Madison Street.

Municipal parking garages are currently at capacity.

Parking is being provided as a courtesy to residents who will not need access to their vehicles for at least a week in order to help clear streets of vehicles and to avoid the need for residents to move their vehicles for street cleaning. The gates to the parking lot will be locked at 10:00pm or when the lot fills until Tuesday, March 21st. The City of Hoboken will not be plowing the parking lot and residents who need access to their vehicle sooner than Tuesday, March 21st will not be able to access their vehicles and should not park in the lot.

The gates to the parking lot will be opened on Tuesday, March 21st at 8:00am. Vehicles must be removed by no later than Friday, March 24th at 4:00pm. Vehicles remaining on the lot after that time will be towed.

The City of Hoboken will be using the larger center lot for snow removal and snow melting operations.
