Details: On Friday, March 10, 2017 at 1:03 AM, CPD officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Whitley Avenue for a mechanical violation. The driver was identified as Kyle Matthew Brazil (age 24). During the traffic stop officers determined Brazil was driving with a suspended or revoked driver license due to a prior drunk driving offense. Officers also noticed Brazil was displaying symptoms of intoxication and he had an open can of beer in the center console. After investigation, Brazil was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Brazil was charged with a felony due to the offense being his fourth DUI arrest with three prior convictions. Brazil is also on active parole with the California Department of Corrections. Brazil was later transported and booked into the Kings County Jail for felony DUI charges and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license. Brazil’s bail amount is $55,000. Brazil was also booked with a no bail parole violation.
