Following an extensive investigation, detectives arrest 3 suspects involved in a robbery of the Shell Gas Station

SUSPECT(S): Shawn Benn, 27-year-old Victorville resident
Brandon Mickens, 22-year-old Victorville resident
Jay Knowles, 25-year-old Victorville transient
VICTIM(S): Shell Gas Station

SUMMARY: On December 29, 2016, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a reported robbery at the Shell Gas Station on Bear Valley Road and US Highway 395. Two adult male suspects entered the business, one carrying a shotgun. The suspects took cash and lottery scratchers and fled the location in a waiting vehicle being driven by another male.
Detectives from the Victorville Police Department began investigating the robbery. After extensive research that included interviews with several parties, reviewing video surveillance footage from various locations, and obtaining information from California Lottery officials, the detectives were able to identify all three suspects.
On February 23, 2017, Shawn Benn and Brandon Mickens were arrested. The third suspect, Jay Knowles, was arrested on March 8, 2017. All three men were booked at High Desert Detention Center for robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
