TWP OF SADDLE BROOK, SNOW STORM AND BLIZZARD WARNING - MONDAY, MARCH 13 (LATE EVENING) AND TUESDAY MARCH 14, 2017.

THIS IS A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM THE TOWNSHIP OF SADDLE BROOK, OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.

A SNOW STORM AND BLIZZARD WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF SADDLE BROOK.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATER TONIGHT (MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2017) AND LAST THROUGHOUT THE DAY TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2017. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION IS FORECASTED AND ANTICIPATED TO BE 10-14 INCHES WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 18-24 INCHES POSSIBLE.

WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE 15-25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40-50 MPH WHICH WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND WILL CREATE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS AND LIMITED VISIBILITY.

TRAVELING BY VEHICLE WILL BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND IS DISCOURAGED DURING THE SNOW STORM.

TOWNSHIP OF SADDLE BROOK ORDINANCE PROHIBITS THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON ANY STREETS IN THE TOWNSHIP WHEN SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE 2 INCHES OR MORE. ADDITIONALLY, ALL VEHILCES MUST BE KEPT OFF THE ROADWAYS UNTIL THE SNOW HAS STOPPED AND THE STREETS HAVE BEEN ADEQUATELY CLEARED OF THE SNOW BY THE PLOWS.

***NOTE***: ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE ROADS BEGINNING TONIGHT MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2017. ANY VEHICLES LEFT ON THE ROADS OVERNIGHT AND ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14TH WILL BE ISSUED TICKETS AND ARE SUBJECT TO BEING TOWED AND IMPOUNDED.

ALSO, AND AS A REMINDER, WHEN CLEARING THE SNOW FROM SIDEWALKS AND DRIVEWAYS, DO NOT PLACE THE SNOW INTO THE STREETS AND KINDLY REMEMBER TO CLEAR THE AREA AROUND ANY FIRE HYDRANTS AT OR NEAR YOUR PROPERTY.

THE TOWNSHIP OF SADDLE BROOK, TOGETHER WITH THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND ASSISTANCE FROM THE TWP GOVERNMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS, POLICE DEPARTMENT, DPW AND VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND AMBULANCE CORPS ARE PREPARED AND READY TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY SERVICES FOR THE SAFETY AND CONCERN OF ALL OUR RESIDENTS AND THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE TOWNSHIP AND PROVIDE UPDATES THROUGH OUR TOWNSHIP EMERGENCY BROADCASTS, INCLUDING:
