Snow Emergency Declared in Preparation for Impending Snow Storm
Due to the predicted heavy snowfall Monday night into Tuesday, Middletown Township is declaring a snow emergency effective 10:00 PM on Monday, March 13, 2017. Vehicles are to be removed from streets beginning one hour after the snowfall begins and remain off the streets until 24 hours after the snowfall ends to facilitate safe and effective snow removal. Do not shovel or plow snow from your driveway or sidewalk into the street. Make sure fire hydrants are clear of snow for direct access in case of a fire emergency.
This storm is expected to produce snow that is heavy and wet, so exercise care and don’t overdo when removing snow to prevent injury and overexertion. Check on elderly friends and neighbors, and make sure pets are sheltered from the storm. Plan to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary
