Full Notification

On 03-13-17 at 12:06 a.m. Janesville Police were dispatched to the report of gunshots in the 2300 block of Garden Dr. When officers arrived on scene they heard multiple gunshots. The house where the shots were coming from was identified, and shortly after a 911 call was received from a female resident inside of that house. That resident reported a male was inside the house, and was responsible for firing the gun.

After several attempts officers were able to make contact with Michael Howard, 59, of 2332 Garden Dr. Investigation revealed that Howard had fired several shots from a handgun. Nobody was injured during this incident.

Howard is being held in custody on the following charges:
-Endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
-Disorderly conduct while armed.
-Threats to law enforcement officer.
-Resisting an officer.
