On March 9, 2017, at approximately 3:15 a.m., four male subjects in a 2015 Hyundai were seen circling the parking lot at Roy Rogers Drive and Civic Drive. The driver parked the vehicle in front of a restaurant in the shopping center and the four subjects exited. The group split up and approached three different businesses, where they attempted to smash the glass doors of each business. They were able to enter two of the businesses and remove property, before returning to their vehicle and leaving.

Deputies from the Victorville Police Department attempted to pull the vehicle over as it left the location. The driver failed to yield to deputies. The vehicle was stopped utilizing a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) maneuver and the four subjects were detained.

Deputies discovered the subjects had burglarized or attempted to burglarize six businesses in Victorville and two businesses in Apple Valley, within a time span of approximately two hours. The suspects were arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for conspiracy to commit a felony, with a gang enhancement, burglary, and receiving known stolen property. The suspects have been identified as:

• Tyler Baughman, 22-year-old Long Beach resident
• Charles Shelton, 24-year-old Long Beach resident
