Tuesday, a Garvin County man pleaded guilty for killing his father. In December 2015, 73-year-old Jackie Douglas Brown was found dead inside his Pauls Valley home. He died from a gunshot wound to his head. OSBI special agents were requested to assist the Pauls Valley Police Department with the case. During an intense investigation into the murder, investigators identified Brown’s killer as his son Kent Carson Brown, 42. Agents flew to California to arrest Brown on a first degree murder warrant. Tuesday, Brown pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
