#026 Fatal Traffic Collision
A fatal traffic collision occurred on Christy Street near Auto Mall involving a vehicle and motorcycle.  Please refer to the press release sent out Friday evening for further detail.

#032 and 033 Possession of Marijuana, Driving on a Suspended License and Probation Violation
At 5:48 p.m., during  a traffic stop in the area of Fremont Bl. and Stevenson Bl., a 20 year old adult female who is on probation, was found to be in possession of over 3 ounces of marijuana. She is arrested and booked into jail on the marijuana charge, driving on a suspended license as well as for a probation violation. A juvenile male who was with her is also cited for less than an ounce of marijuana he had with him and released to a parent.

#042 Robbery
At 10:43 p.m., Officer De Stefano was dispatched to the Lucky Store located at 5000 Mowry Avenue in regards to two male suspects stealing a bag of alcohol from the store.  As one of the suspects was leaving an employee tackled one of the suspects.  The suspect punched the employee in the face in order to get away.  The suspects left in a white 4 door sedan (possibly a Saturn). 

Suspect #1: Hispanic male adult, early 20's, 5'11 - 6'0, 250 lbs., short brown hair, last seen wearing green hoodie, dark jeans, and New Balance Shoes.
 
Suspect #2: Black male adult, early 20's, 5'8 - 5'11, 180 lbs., no facial hair, long black dreads to middle of back, last seen wearing black beanie, black hoodie and dark jeans.

#002 Sexual Battery
Officer Paiva was dispatched to a business in the 40600 block of Fremont Bl. in regards to a drunk male found inside the business after closing.  Approximately two hours after closing, the male was found passed out inside the ‘Fast and Furious’ driving video game.  When a female attempts to wake him up, he grabs her in an inappropriate place.  Officers arrive and find the male asleep in the seat of the arcade game.  The 21 year old adult male, Berkeley resident is arrested for sexual battery, public intoxication and a probation violation.

#009 Warrant Arrest
At 10:00 a.m., Officer Carter arrested a 23 year old adult male for burglary and theft warrants in the area of Norfolk Rd. and Hopkins Ave.

#005 Commercial Burglary
CSO Romero investigated a commercial burglary of a restaurant in the 5300 block of Mowry Ave that occurred sometime during the night. There was no reported loss, but the front glass door and frame was compromised.

#014 Attempted Commercial Burglary
At 11:40 a.m., CSO Schwartz and FTO Ernst were dispatched to the 4300 block of Decoto Rd regarding an attempted burglary.  The reporting party said unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the building at multiple locations. The attempt occurred between 7:00 p.m. on March 3 and 10:30 a.m. on March 4.  A Samsung cell phone charger that had been left outside the building was taken.

#015 DUI Arrest
At 11:45 a.m., officers responded to Farwell Dr. and Waller Ave. regarding a collision involving a vehicle into a parked car, with a roll-over.  Officer Tucker and FTO Em. Marcelino investigated and arrested a 30 year old adult male for driving under the influence.

#029 Unlicensed driver
Officer Latimer conducted a traffic stop at Mission View Dr. and Fremont Bl.  He arrested/cited the male driver for not having a license.

#021 Unlicensed Driver
Officers Higgins and Oliveira working DUI enforcement conducted a traffic stop at Cushing Pkwy and Auto Mall Circle.  They arrested/cited an adult male for driving without a license.

#032 Unlicensed Driver
Officer Sun conducted a traffic stop at Fremont Bl. and Beacon Dr.  He arrested/cited an adult male for driving without a license.

#026 Shoplifting
At 4:35 p.m., officers responded to Safeway at the Hub because employees had stopped a shoplifter who had exited the store after passing all points of sale without attempting to purchase items in his cart.  Loss prevention contacted the male outside and asked him to return inside the store.  All items were recovered.  Officer Goepp arrested/cited the 58 year old adult male for shoplifting.

#030 Grand Theft 
Officers responded to Ulta at the Hub after a suspect stole approximately $1200 worth of merchandise and fled in a black Honda Accord (partial plate: 6YL36) occupied by five people.  Investigated by Officer Goepp.

#007 Outside Assist
Canine Officers Layfield and Smith responded with Sgt. Lawrence and Officer Dennis to Newark for a canine search.  NPD had one suspect detained who was in possession of a loaded firearm and a second suspect associated with vehicle burglary had fled into a residential neighborhood.  As FPD units began searching, the suspect began jumping fences and was apprehended by NPD perimeter units.

#029 Possession of a Controlled Substance
Traffic Officer Ramsey was working speed enforcement on Paseo Padre Pkwy when he pulled over a 33 year old adult female who was on active probation with a search clause.  A search was conducted and she was found to be in possession of suspected crystal meth.  She was arrested/cited for possession of a controlled substance and cited for speeding. 

#019 Petty Theft and Warrant Arrest
At 1:40 p.m., Officer Dennis responded to Target (Hub location) regarding a male who loss prevention had detained for theft.  The 64 year old adult male attempted to steal merchandise valued at $290.  The male also had a $5000 warrant for theft out of San Bruno PD.  The male was transported and booked at Santa Rita without incident.

#025 Petty Theft
An employee at Ulta (Hub location) called to report they had a female detained for attempting to steal $400 worth of merchandise (make-up).  The 18 year old adult female was arrested for petty theft and transported to the Fremont Jail.  Case investigated by Officer Rodriguez.

#027 Residential Burglary
CSO Escamilla responded to the 38000 block of 3rd St. to investigate a burglary.  The suspect(s) entered a garage that had been left partially open and stole power tools, clothes and food from a freezer.  Video surveillance from neighbors security cameras are pending. 

#023 Mental Health Evaluation
A reporting party/victim called 9-1-1 after a male suspect pushed him.  The suspect was pushing a shopping cart and walking southbound Fremont Bl. damaging and vandalizing cars along the road.  Officer Francisco located the male and determined he was in need of help.  Officer Francisco placed the male on a mental health hold and he was sent to a hospital for an evaluation.   

#037 Suspended License
At 10:15 p.m., a 40 year old adult male was cited in the area of Grimmer Bl. and Auto Mall Pkwy for driving on a suspended license by Officer O’Neal.

#039 Unlicensed Driver
At 11:00 p.m., a 53 year old adult male was cited in the area of Mowry Ave and Fremont Blvd. for unlicensed driving by Officer Higgins.

#038 Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance Arrest
At approximately 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Fremont Blvd. /Mowry Ave. on the report of a male running through the intersection. It was reported that the male approached several different occupied vehicles and attempted to open the doors. The male did not threaten the occupants or attempt to steal the vehicles, but was talking to himself as he did so. The 35 year old adult male was ultimately contacted and arrested for being under the influence by Officer Gregory.
