HCSO Homicide Investigators Charge Man In Murder.

(Harris County, TX) Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators have charged 36-year-old Miguel Angel Resendez for the shooting death of a male whose vehicle had broken down in the 11800 block of Aldine Westfield.

On Monday, February 27, 2017, at approximately 12:40am, 31-year-old Oscar Reyes and his wife, Carolina Barrios, broke down at the intersection of Hartwick and Aldine Westfield.

Resendez drove up behind Reyes' vehicle and honked his horn. When Reyes did not move, the suspect used his Chevrolet Tahoe to push Reyes' vehicle.

Reyes exited his vehicle and the two began arguing. During the argument, the suspect shot Reyes multiple times and fled the scene.

While Reyes lay in the road, a light colored pickup truck ran him over and fled the scene as well.

Investigators say witness statements and crime scene evidence collected was enough to present the case to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office where the charge of Murder was accepted.

Miguel Angel Resendez is described as a Hispanic male 5’10 in height and weighing 220Lbs. He has black colored hair and brown colored eyes.
