OSBI Investigates Cordell Death
Friday night, the Cordell Police Department requested OSBI assist with a possible homicide case. At approximately 10 pm, police received a 911 call about an unresponsive person at 107 B N. Market Street. Police and emergency medical technicians arrived and administered CPR. Billy James McCartney, of Arapaho, was transported to a local hospital where medical personnel pronounced him dead. The 28-year-old man was visiting the people inside the apartment when a physical altercation ensued. OSBI special agents are investigating what led up to McCartney’s death. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. No one has been arrested.
