Traffic stop leads to arrest of Princeton man on DUI charge. 
On March 6, 2017, at 12:57 a.m. Sergeant John Fischer observed a Red 2004 Pontiac Grand Am traveling southbound on Main Street in Princeton, Indiana. While following the vehicle Sergeant Fischer observed the vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel and initiated a traffic stop near Olive Drive. Upon approaching the vehicle Sergeant Fischer identified the driver as 28 year old Joseph Peterson of Princeton, Indiana. While speaking with Mr. Peterson Sergeant Fischer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of the roadside investigation Mr. Peterson was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He has since posted a $750 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
