Coyote Tips

January through March is coyote breeding season.  Coyotes are monogamous and most male and female coyotes will stay together for life.  Coyotes that do not have a mate may go exploring for a mate, which may increase coyote sightings.  Coyotes have the ability to adjust their litter sizes based on food abundance and population density.  The gestational period of a coyote is approximately 60 days. Both male and female coyotes raise the coyote pups.
