On February 28, 2017, at 4:56 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a two vehicle accident on US 41 at the County Road 800 South intersection. Upon arriving Deputy Ben Kiesel began an investigation into the accident. During Deputy Kiesel’s investigation he was able to determine that a Red 2014 Volkswagen mini cooper rear ended a Red 2012 Toyota Camry that was stopped at the traffic signal. During his investigation into the accident Deputy Kiesel detected the odor of alcohol on 55 year old Dennis Sayle of Evansville, Indiana. At the end of Deputy Kiesel’s investigation Mr. Sayle, the driver of the Mini Cooper was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.
