PUBLIC ASSISTANCE NEEDED FOR CRITICAL MISSING ELDER
PASADENA, CA – The Pasadena Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance for a senior citizen missing since February 7, 2017. The elderly man is Dawud Qayyim Karriem, Black male, 87 years old, 5’7, and approximately 140 pounds. Mr. Karriem is commonly called “Al” by friends and family. Mr. Karriem has poor eyesight, but otherwise is descripted as healthy and active. He does not own a car but frequently takes walks in Pasadena utilizing a cane. It is unknown what Mr. Karriem was wearing at the time he went missing. Mr. Karriem was seen at his residence in Pasadena by neighbors on 2/2/2017.
Per family, Mr. Karriem has never gone missing before and it is unusual for him to be away from his home for such a long period of time. Foul play has not been ruled out and there is concern for Mr. Karriem’s welfare.
