A Victorville man is arrested for setting fire to his ex-girlfriend's home

SUSPECT: Manuel Rodriguez, 27-year-old Victorville resident

SUMMARY:
On February 21, 2017, a fire was reported at a home in the 15500 block of Fifth Street. Deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the location and determined no one was inside of the residence. Personnel from Victorville Fire Department also responded and extinguished the fire.
Deputies received information that the homeowner’s ex-boyfriend, Manuel Rodriguez, was upset with her and was at the residence trying to gain entry while emergency personnel were on scene. Deputies detained the suspect at the scene. A records check also indicated the suspect had an outstanding warrant from another county. Additional investigation and interviews led to the arrest of the suspect. He was booked at High Desert Detention Center for arson.
