Deputies arrest a man for brandishing a firearm at the Havasu Landing Resort Casino

LOCATION: Havasu Landing Resort Casino, Havasu Landing, CA
SUSPECT: Jerry Mason, 43 years old, Lake Havasu City, AZ
SUMMARY:
On Friday, February 17, 2017, deputies from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Colorado River Station, responded to the Havasu Landing Resort Casino for reports of a male customer brandishing a firearm at one of the gaming tables. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the victim outside of the casino who reported Mason pointed a firearm at him and threatened him. Mason was located at the dock area at the Havasu Landing Resort Ferry and was arrested for Criminal Threats. He was booked into the Colorado River Station Jail with a bail set at $50,000.00.
During the investigation it was learned Mason may have thrown the firearm into the Havasu Landing Resort Marina. On Monday, February 20, 2017 members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Colorado River Station Dive Team responded to the Havasu Landing Resort Marina and conducted an underwater search for the firearm. Dive Team members recovered the suspected firearm a short distance from where Mason was believed to have thrown it.
