SUMMARY:
On February 19, 2017, deputies from the Victorville Police Department received a request for assistance. Paramedics were transporting a patient to a local hospital when he became aggressive with them.
Deputies arriving on scene learned Anthony Lott became physically aggressive with one of the paramedics in the ambulance after a verbal outburst. Lott grabbed one of the paramedics and pushed his head back, causing him to strike the inside wall of the ambulance. The driver stopped the ambulance, and all personnel exited. Lott remained inside the ambulance and began breaking things and striking the windows with a piece of equipment, resulting in two broken windows. Deputies’ attempts to talk to Lott to calm him were unsuccessful. Lott was finally taken into custody after deputies used pepper spray and removed him from the ambulance.
Lott was booked at High Desert Detention Center for battery on emergency personnel and vandalism. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on February 22, 2017.
