UPDATE: DETECTIVES RELEASE SUSPECT SKETCH IN NOVATO CREEK ASSAULT

Novato Police Detectives have developed a sketch of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in the Novato Creek, west of Lee Gerner Park on February 12th. This is the same subject seen in the surveillance footage obtained and released from Lucky’s Supermarket on Grant Avenue. The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male adult; 40-42 years old; clean shaven with a darker complexion; 5’ 5” and weighing approx. 150 lbs. He was wearing a white hat with red seams, a dark colored Carolina Panthers Super Bowl 50 sweatshirt, a red polo shirt, dark blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He was carrying a gray Nike drawstring backpack and spoke Spanish, with a Central American dialect.

CAN YOU HELP US IDENTIFY THESE SUSPECTS?

On February 12, 2017 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., a Hispanic female in her 30’s was assaulted in the Novato Creek, west of Lee Gerner Park. The female was approached and befriended by two unidentified male subjects. She was later assaulted by both subjects. The two subjects fled the area and remain outstanding. Descriptions below.

SUSPECT #1:
Hispanic male adult; 40-42 years old; clean shaven with a darker complexion; 5’ 5” and weighing approx. 150 lbs. He was wearing a white hat with red seams, a dark colored Carolina Panthers Super Bowl 50 sweatshirt, a red polo shirt, dark blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He was carrying a gray Nike drawstring backpack and spoke Spanish, with a Central American dialect. He was seen on surveillance video at Lucky’s Supermarket on Grant Avenue. See attached photograph.

SUSPECT #2:
Hispanic male adult; approx. 40 years old; clean shaven with a darker complexion; 5’ 5” with a medium build. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and white and blue shoes. He had black hair that was longer on the top and shaved short on the sides.
