Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on Monday, February 20, 2017, at 5:29 a.m. on the1400 block of Volney Drive, East Los Angeles. 
 
At this time it appears the suspect of this investigation is linked to the Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred on Monday, February 20, 2017, at 8:30 a.m. in Whittier.  (www.nixle.us/98WGP)
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are responding to the 1400 block of Volney Drive, East Los Angeles, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
