Modesto, CA - On Thursday February 16, 2017 at about 5 PM members of the Modesto Police Department Street Gang Unit (SGU) conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of 12th Street in Modesto. 23-year old Matthew Nesslage and 24-year old Ryan Collins, both of Modesto, were inside the vehicle during the stop. Both Matthew and Ryan were found to be on searchable probation for previous weapons and drug sale charges. Investigators from SGU conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded handgun.
Investigators then went to a residence in Modesto where they had determined Matthew and Ryan to both live. At the residence they located an additional 10 firearms, 5 of which were found to be stolen. They also located several narcotics for sale including several prescription medications and marijuana. Additionally Investigators from SGU located over $13,000 in cash. Inside the residence they also located Melissa Jensen, a 24-year old Modesto resident.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of stolen property, and other weapons violations.
