Several Los Angeles County parks closed due to storm.
The following parks are closed today:
Crescenta Valley, Whittier Narrows, Walnut, San Angelo, Eaton Cyn, Rimgrove, Avocado.
Please do not go hiking right now.
You would be amazed at how often brave Search and Rescue team members go out in this weather to rescue people who think it would be interesting sightseeing to go hiking, then plead to be rescued. Courageous rescuers then risk their lives to save them, as they have sworn an oath and believe strongly in the reverence for human life. If you know of someone considering sightseeing please ask them to think it through. Thanks!
Over 3" of water came down in Altadena. Water is flowing very fast out of Eaton Canyon, the area is closed due to flash flood danger.
