Police Investigate Armed Robberies
HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – February 17, 2017 – A Hollister business was robbed at gunpoint on February 16, 2017.
On February 16, 2017, at about 3:42 P.M. a male subject walked into The UPS Store, 201 McCray Street, placed a black ski mask over his face, walked to the checkout counter and produced a handgun. He demanded money from the store clerk. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and ran out of the store.
The store clerk described the subject as a male, 5-04, about 150 pounds, in his early twenties. He was also described as wearing, khaki pants, a dark hoodie sweatshirt and a black mask. Before the suspect placed the mask over his face, dark marks possibly tattoos were seen on both sides of the subject’s eyes. He was also said to be wearing white earphones.
This robbery is very similar to several robberies that occurred in the same area on January 30, 2017. The suspect in all three robberies had a very similar physical description, was wearing the same clothing and a black handgun was produced.
This is an ongoing investigation and police officers are still speaking to witnesses and anyone in the area that may have seen the suspects.
