HCSO: Suspect In Child Abuse Arrested In Belton, Tx
Harris County, TX) Harris County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse unit are announcing the arrest of 41-year-old Reynaldo Zepeda.
He was arrested at 9:00pm last night, Thursday February 16, 2017, after information was received of his whereabouts.
Police in Alliance, Nebraska were made aware of Zepeda living in that town in western Nebraska.
Alliance Officers went to the residence and made contact with family members that told them he had left for Belton, Texas earlier in the week.
Police officers in Nolanville, Texas were contacted by Alliance Officers to an address in Nolanville a small community west of Belton.
Investigators were watching the home last night, when Zepeda came out of the home and attempted to drive off. He was detained and questioned, and admitted to being Reynaldo Zepeda.
He was booked into the Bell County Sheriff’s Office on a possession of a controlled substance charge after investigators found a baggie of methamphetamine on him.
This capture was an coordinated effort between three Law enforcement agencies (Harris County Sheriff's Office, Alliance, Nebraska P.D., and Nolanville P.D.) in two states.
After 8 years of diligent police work and brave testimony of the victim, the suspect will now face justice.
