The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert and flash flood watch in Los Angeles County to include the City of Burbank. Heavy rains are expected in Burbank beginning Thursday night and will continue through Friday into Saturday. Up to five inches of rain are expected in the valleys and foothills.
The City of Burbank Street & Sanitation Division issues sand bags to Burbank residents, which can be picked up at 124 S. Lake St. while supplies last.
The Burbank Police Department is issuing this advisory to remind motorists to use caution on the roadways. During periods of heavy rain, you are encouraged to stay indoors and be vigilant in monitoring your neighborhood for flood control issues and other rain-related concerns.
