Full Notification

The City of Athens announces that there is a major water outage in the central part of Athens. All areas west of US 33 and north of the Hocking River will be out of water until further notice. This is the result of a major water main break near the water treatment plant. A boil order will follow once the repairs are made. The community center is available for restrooms.

There is no Boil Order at this time. Once the repair is made and water pressure restored, a boil order will be issued
