The lockdown of Royal High School and Santa Rose of Lima Catholic School has been lifted. Additional investigative information led to the discovery that the long rifle reported to have been seen brought on to the Royal High campus was in fact a ceremonial drill rifle used by a Drill Team member and not an actual firearm. Perimeter security and roadway closures have been lifted. However, Simi Valley Police Officers will remain on campus to assist with traffic related issues.
