Alert

Winter storm warning from noon today to 7 pm Monday. Heavy snow and accumulation of 12-16"

Winter storm warning remains in effect from noon today to 7 pm
Monday with heavy snow, strong winds, blowing snow and accumulation of 12 to 16 inches.

Snow is expected to develop today and become heavy at times tonight and Monday. Winds will increase and become strong late tonight and Monday and allow for blowing and drifting along with very low visibilities.

Treacherous travel, low visibilities, and the potential for power outages. Near-blizzard conditions will be possible late Sunday night and Monday with winds from the northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, temperatures mainly in the 20s and visibility of one quarter mile or less at times.

Instructions:

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
If power fails and you use generators, remember to make sure that they are properly vented and not running in or vented toward the house. Use flashlights instead of open flame and do not approach downed lines as they may be live
