Armed Robbery suspect arrested on Super Bowl Sunday

Suspect Terry Wayne Wilson, African American male and Pasadena resident, received a criminal filing on six counts of felony armed robbery charges today by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He is being held on $250,000 bail and is in the custody of the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department.

Suspect Wilson began his armed robbery crime spree on January 27th., but it was abruptly ended on February 4th thanks to proactive Pasadena Patrol Officers. Over a seven day stretch, Wilson robbed three Subway Sandwich stores, and a Domino’s Pizza store in Pasadena. On February 4th.,in the early evening, Wilson robbed a retail shoe store in Temple City. In this case a vehicle description and suspect description was obtained and was related to the Pasadena Police Department’s emergency services operator.

The information was in turn given to patrol officers who happened to recognize the description of the vehicle. Within hours of the last armed robbery, Pasadena Patrol Officers scoured the city and stopped a vehicle matching the description of the armed robber from Temple City. Witnesses and victims positively identified Wilson and his vehicle as the suspect involved in all five armed robberies.

Pasadena Police Robbery Detectives presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office who filed the aforementioned charges on Wilson.

“I am profoundly proud of the men and women of the Pasadena Police Department who proactively provide police services to the great community of Pasadena. This caliber of police work is not uncommon at the Pasadena Police Department and I am pleased that this violent felon has been taken off the streets” said Police Chief Phillip L. Sanchez.
