Former "Pasadena Police Woman" Marguerite D. Haskins of Chino Turns 100 Tomorrow!

On Thursday, February 9, 2017 Marguerite D. Haskins of Chino will turn 100! What makes it even more special is that Marguerite served the Pasadena Police Department in the role of “Police Woman” from 1942 through 1948. She resigned from the Pasadena Police Department in 1948 but later returned to the City of Pasadena in 1965 and worked as a fire alarm dispatcher and also a clerical assistant. She resigned again in 1971.

Police Chief Phillip Sanchez and members of the Pasadena Police Department will honor Ms. Haskins at her residence in Chino, Ca. tomorrow Feb 9 at 11:30 A.M. and present her with a certificate of recognition on her special day. “It is absolutely a privilege and honor to participate in someone’s 100 year milestone but even more special for us as she served our great department, and community at a time when our country was embroiled in WWII. Ms. Haskins was no doubt a pioneer for woman represented in law enforcement and a great Patriot.”
