* Suspect Arrested * Update/Correction #LASD Homicide Death Investigation, 16300 BLK Doublegrove St., Valinda

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives have made an arrest in the stabbing death investigation of a female adult that occurred on Monday, February 6, 2017, in the 16300 block of Doublegrove Street in Valinda.
 
Thirty-two year-old Ricky Ramos, a Hispanic male, was initially detained in the 15500 block of Amar Road, Valinda, after deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call at his residence located in the 16300 block of Doublegrove Street, Valinda.
 
The emergency call was made by a neighbor after finding the suspect’s wife unresponsive inside her home.  Industry Station deputies performed life-saving measures on the victim, 28 year-old Socorro Ramos, but were unsuccessful.  She was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The suspect and victim have one minor child in common, however the child was not inside the home at the time of the crime.
 
Suspect Ramos was initially detained and transported to Industry Sheriff’s Station pending further investigation.  He was subsequently arrested and booked for murder.  He is being held in lieu of two million dollars bail.
 
The weapon was recovered at the scene.
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the stabbing death of a female that occurred Monday, February 6, 2017, at 8:34 p.m. in the 16300 block of Doublegrove Street, Valinda, (Unincorporated Los Angeles).
 
Industry Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the location regarding a person down call.  Upon the deputies arrival they discovered the female victim suffering from stab wounds.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 
 
During the investigation the deputies detained the victim’s husband approximately two miles away from the location.  He was transported to Industry Station pending further investigation.
 
The incident appears to be a domestic violence incident.
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available.
