SVPD Detectives arrest man for Revenge Porn and Extortion 
On February 4, SVPD Major Crimes Detectives arrested a man, Yair Guadalupe Velazquez (25 years old), for extorting the female victim and distributing nude photos of her to workers and acquaintances.
Velazquez and the victim have been involved in an on and off again relationship over the last few years. Approximately one year ago, when upset with the victim, Velazquez emailed a naked photo of her to former co-workers. Velazquez then began extorting the victim for sexual favors. If the victim did not heed Velazquez’s requests, he would threaten to send out additional photos to friends and family members.
During the month of January 2017, when the victim did not do as instructed, Velazquez sent a second nude photo of the victim to friends and family members of the victim. On 02-07-17, at approximately 2000 hrs, Velazquez was arrested for a violation of 518 PC - Extortion and 647(j)(4) PC - Revenge Porn.
