Saugus: Crime & Public Safety Report for the Week of Jan. 23-29, 2017

01/25/17

Petty Theft – 27700 block of Ron Ridge Drive

An alert citizen saw a subject entering unlocked vehicles and stealing property on his street. The informant called 911 and deputies responded.  Deputies detained the subject and recovered stolen property.

Robbery – 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road

A male suspect walked into the restaurant grabbed the tip jar that was on the counter and ran from the location. An employee chased the suspect into the parking lot at which time the suspect brandished a firearm at the victim. The suspect ran from the area. 
 

01/28/17

Grand Theft Auto – 224600 block of Guadilamar 

A vehicle was taken from the victim at the above location.  A short time later the suspects were located by deputies and taken into custody. 
 

01/29/17

Theft from Unlocked Vehicle – 22500 block of Hob Court

An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a backpack.
