CRIME: 215PC – Carjacking
SUSPECT: James Holthouser, 34 of Pomona , Tyler Holthouser, 25 of Pomona & Xavier Blackmon, 26 of Victorville CA.
CRIME: 11358, 11359 HS – Possession of Marijuana for Cultivation and Sales
SUSPECT: Timothy Frerichs, 39 of Redding CA. & Dennis Young, 40 of Redding CA.
VEHICLE: 2017 Grey, Chevy Silverado with 18’ cargo trailer
An armed carjacking occurred in the area of Mission Blvd. and Sorrento RD. The truck and cargo trailer were located a short time later in the area of 700 Washington Ave. The suspects were observed by the police helicopter unloading the trailer and throwing large bags into the backyard of the residence. When Officers arrived and detained the suspects, they found that the trailer and bags contained approximately 1200 lbs. of Marijuana.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence and Officers located an illegal Marijuana grow with approximately 240 plants. Three suspects were arrested at the residence. Tyler Holthouser and Xavier Blackmon were charged with carjacking and Possession of marijuana for sales. James Holthouser was charged with Conspiracy to commit Carjacking, Cultivation and Possession of Marijuana for sales.
The two victims of the carjacking, Timothy Frerichs and Dennis Young were also placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Marijuana for Sales.
Although the investigation is still ongoing, it appears this was possibly a prearranged meeting between both parties and a drug deal gone wrong.
