Traffic collision involving an 11 year old male

INCIDENT: Pedestrian/Vehicle Collision
LOCATION: Village Drive and Eto Camino Road, Victorville
SUMMARY:
On February 3, 2017, at approximately 1:06 p.m., an 11 year old male juvenile attempted to run across Village Drive, north of Eto Camino Road. The juvenile ran directly in front of a north bound vehicle , 2014 Honda Accord, being driven by Raul Martinez. The juvenile was struck in the north bound number 1 lane by the Honda Accord and landed in number 2 north bound lane. Martinez immediately stopped his vehicle and notified Sheriff's Dispatch of the collision. Personnel from the Victorville Police, San Bernardino County Fire, and American Medical Response responded to the scene to render first aid and conduct an investigation.
The juvenile was transported via Ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he is currently in critical condition. Alcohol and narcotics do not appear to be contributing factors in this collision.
