RPD-Hauser Update-

Residents and District 96 and Hauser Parents-

As you're probably well aware, Riverside Police were on the scene at Hauser this morning and will be at dismissal. We will have additional officers in school campus on Friday. After a lengthy investigation that (literally) went on all night and continues through this morning, officers are working on the alleged threat case although there appears to be no evidence to support any such claim.

Those parents that thought there was some chatter on the internet in regard to some type of violence and are searching unauthorized web sites - that is untrue.

I know parents want to be updated I’m releasing this information so that parents can make wise decisions and have the facts in front of them and make safe decisions for students and other family members. As Chief of Police, I was on campus this morning to talk to school staff and greet any parents that wanted to speak with me along with other police personnel.

If you have any questions you can certainly direct them to Hauser staff or contact me directly.
