Turlock CA – On 01-29-17 at about 7:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 5300 block of Griffin Road outside of Turlock for a vehicle fire. After extinguishing the fire they discovered a body inside the vehicle and requested the Sheriff’s Office to respond. Detectives responded and processed the scene, which is a rural area just north of Turlock.
The Coroner’s Office has been able to positively identify the victim as 39 year-old Juan Carlos Ledesma-Infante of Stockton. Preliminary findings from the autopsy indicate the victim had suffered additional injuries unrelated to the fire. Detectives are now investigating his death as a homicide.
