Deps arrest Francisco Garcia for assault with a deadly weapon/ inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant

SUMMARY:
On January 31, 2017, Deputy Marvin Wilkie, from the Victorville Police Department, was dispatched to a reported assault.
The suspect, Francisco Garcia, went to the home of his ex-girlfriend and entered the bedroom where she was sleeping. The victim awoke to the suspect standing over her with a gun pointed at her face. The victim stood up, and the suspect punched her in the face, causing her to lose consciousness temporarily. When the victim gained consciousness, she walked outside to the front of her residence where she saw the suspect inside his vehicle. She approached the vehicle, and the suspect accelerated, hitting the victim. She rolled over the hood of the vehicle causing various injuries. The suspect left the scene.
Deputy Wilkie located the suspect at his residence on Orange Street in Hesperia. He was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting corporal injury.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
